Why we're different
Medicine should be about YOU
Most primary care in America today is run by someone who has never met you. A regional health system or private equity-backed group sets the appointment length, the visit quota, and the metrics a provider is measured on — and those numbers are built around what's profitable, not what your body needs. A 15-minute slot doesn't get longer because your labs are worrying or your medication list is complicated. It gets shorter, because the next patient is already in the waiting room.
The providers in that system aren't the problem. Most of them went into medicine to actually take care of people, and most of them are stretched thin trying to do it inside a structure that wasn't built for it — short-staffed support, rising documentation burden, and schedules dictated from a corporate office they'll never set foot in.
We built Capital City Family Medicine to take that structure out of the equation. There's no regional system setting our targets and no formula deciding how long your appointment should be. Visit length is set by what you actually need, decided by the provider actually in the room with you. That's not a slogan — it's the whole reason this practice exists.
